The new bed!

 
So we finally got our new bunk bed for the boys! Connor was beyond excited to have it set up and ready for him to use! As of right now we only have one mattress for the top bunk but we're currently looking for another mattress so if anyone has an extra one that they'd like to sell/give to us we'd be interested! (Anyone here in town I mean cuz I have no desire to pay for shipping on a mattress ;-) ) Connor was very anxious to get to bed that night and tonight is his second night in there and he did awesome yesterday! So in a few months when Zachary is older he'll join his big brother on the bottom bunk so that the crib will be free for the new baby! I'm excited that it's here and it's one step closer to us being prepared for our third child!

Connor has been enjoying his bedtime more than usual!! And as you can see he seems to be sleeping very comfortably!

A quick update

So on Friday I had my doctor's appt and it went very well. No weight gain yet!! Yay! I think that was the most exciting part about the appt! Ever since I lost 25 lbs the thought of putting it back on is not appealing to me at all! So I've just been riding my bike as exercise and so far it has seemed to help me! We got to hear the heartbeat, it was a little harder to find this time but then once he found it he said everything sounded perfect. I asked him about flying down to California next month he said that's a go and then I asked him about hair dye cuz I was thinking of possibly getting my hair dyed back to blonde like I had it last year before I decided to dye it brown and he said that was a go too so yeah not much else happened at the appt! The boys got their stickers and I was sent on my merry way. That's Connor's favorite part of going to see the doctor is the fact that he gets a sticker from him on the way out!

Chatterbeans

 
 
 
So today Courtney and I went to this awesome place called Chatterbeans. It's a coffee shop and play room all in one! We didn't realize when we got there that you had to pay for your kids to play but for the month of August if you pay for child you get a free coffee drink! The kids all had an awesome time and hopefully we'll go back there at least once more before August is up so we can get another free drink. Since I had to pay for two kids I got two free drinks which I of course didn't need two but yet I still ordered my two! And they were each yummy, Connor had to help me drink the second one though. We even saw our fellow blogging buddy Sabrina there and it was nice to catch up with her and chit chat! All in all lots of fun was had! 

 
 
 
Zachary was absolutely hilarious with this slide! I didn't think he was big enough to climb up there by himself but low and behold he was! And then I think it went a little faster than he thought it was the his face is priceless! And then when he had reached the floor he just layed there, didn't know what to do now! It was pretty darn funny! 

 
Connor spent the last 20 minutes playing with this puzzle. He would take every piece out and then put it right back in. Not too suprising though cuz that is what puzzles are made for! 

Daddy's Home!!!

 
 
Asa went out of town this past weekend so when he came home it was playtime with the kids! I don't like to ever play with them like this since I accidentaly dropped Connor one time, no more for me! So I think after a few days of not playing like this they were ready for daddy to come home! It was hard for me to be by myself this weekend with the kids and I honestly didn't hardly even have Connor this weekend. I had to work all day Saturday so Asa's mom watched the kids and then Connor wanted to stay the night with her. Then Sunday I tried to go to church with just Zach because my friend was supposed to be baptizing her baby but it didn't work out for her for this weekend. I decided to put Zach in the nursery at church and of course I got the phone call from the lady saying that Zach had been getting fussy and crying at the door so I needed to come pick him up. So then I take him back into church with me and he of course won't sit still, won't play with any of the toys, won't eat any food, won't drink from his cup. So after about 15 minutes in there with him I had to leave early cuz he just wasn't having it anymore. Ugh I don't want to do that again by myself! So needless to say when Asa came home I was happy to see him and happy to get some help!

So when we got ready to say Connor's prayers before bedtime last night Asa turned the lights all the way off and Connor got really scared really quick so Asa decided to play a fun game with him. So he asked Connor if he wanted to daddy to "get" the dark, Connor said yes so Asa went around scaring the dark away and was making a lot of noises and Connor thought it was the funniest thing ever and then even Connor wanted to get the dark too! Good thing I had the camera in there cuz it was pretty cute!

You know I go back and forth on even wanting to post this pic! For those who know me well know that sometimes my self esteem is not the best so it's hard for me to put up a pic like this that shows me, stretch marks and all! But there it is, my new belly! I am now past my first trimester and am thankful for that! The past 3 months have been fairly good. This is the first time of my pregnancies that I haven't thrown up at all so there's a plus! But I tend to downplay the sickness that I have had this trimester but yes I've felt like crap probably 4 times out of a week and it happens at night but again not crappy enough to throw up, all that I need to do is go to bed and it goes away but still feeling crappy at those moments! Our baby is now 3 inches and 1 ounce!! Whohoo! 

 
It's not everyday I get both of them looking at me and smiling! But I think this turned out cute!! 

So wow, I never expierenced this with Connor!

As most of you know Zach has just taken off in his walking, all over the place all the time! And while I love seeing him walk cuz he looks so cute this week has a been a week full of bumps and bruises for him with the worst happening today that almost made me call 911 but more on that later! When Connor was at this age the only big "accident" he had was when I was playing with him in the kitchen and he had overalls on and I accidently dropped him while I was sitting down and he got this gigantic goose egg on his head, oops! Never have I felt worse :-( but other than that incident he stayed relatively out of harms way from what I can remember. But with Zachary he is constantly losing his balance and falling on his head and he gots scores of bruises all over! Earlier this week he got upset at Connor and was crying so I went to pick him up and I was sitting in the chair well he did not want to be sitting with me at all so as I was holding him he decided to try and squirm out of my hands and in doing so face planted into the chair. He got a gash on his eyelid and it immediately turned into a bruise. He of course was fine after a little more crying but it upset me none the less. So then on to today right before we were leaving for my aunt and uncles house for dinner. He's been really good about when he walks out of the door when he sees the steps he sits on his butt and crawls down but not today. Today he decided to just bypass the steps and do a face plant right into the cement walkway. Asa was out there with him and picked him up right away and Zach was so upset that he couldn't breathe. He was trying to cry but it wasn't coming out. So I went around Asa's back so I was facing Zach and at that moment he got one breath of air and then his eyes rolled into the back of his head. I then freaked out cuz that was by far the scariest thing I've seen in awhile and we rushed him inside and I grabbed the phone and was just about to dial it when Asa said he was breathing again and was starting to really start crying. He kept crying for awhile but I then picked him up and he started to calm down and wanted to go back outside. So we walked outside and he wanted down so I put him in the grass and off he went! He was walking all over throwing dirt doing the normal things he always does just with another bruise on his head now! To see your child in that light was something I hope I never see again cuz it scared the shit out of me but I'm extremely thankful that nothing major happened. But man as I said before Connor never did any of this so Zachary is definantly keeping me on my toes all the time!

So this week is just halfway through and we've already done a lot more than we usually do! My grandma and her boyfriend came into town this past Saturday so we've been visiting with them a lot. Too bad she's not here more often to see the kids more but Connor and Zach have both been enjoying their company so far! And this time it will only be a month till we see them again! We had a big family BBQ this past Sunday and it was so nice to be around everyone and we had a ton of fun, I didn't want to leave at the end of the night! Then on Tuesday morning Connor and Zach had their first trip to the library which as you can tell from the pictures below, Connor at least had a great time! And Tuesday night we went to the baseball game with everyone! We had good weather and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves! Then today it was off to the farmers market downtown, feeding the ducks, and then out to dinner! Whew! So yeah busy week for us but sometimes it good to be this busy I just don't think I could do this every week!

 
 
 
 
Connor's first trip to the library!! Yes I know pathetic he is just a few months shy of 4 and yet he's never been to the library!! But we went down there with Courtney and Seb and had a great time. We went for storytime and luckily Zach slept the whole time so I got to actually listen and take pictures! Connor didn't want to sit by us at first he wanted to sit up front by himself but finally he ventured back to us and sat down. Then after storytime we went to the little play area and Connor and Seb had a good ol time reading stories and playing with the toys! Suprisingly it wasn't too hard to get them to leave though! 

 
 
 
 
What a blast!! We all went down to the baseball game on Tuesday night and had great fun! We had great weather which I was a little worried about since the night before we had our huge thunderstorm but it was awesome! Connor even found his friend from BB and they danced the whole night together, so cute! And even my mother in law got in some dancing of her own!! 

 
 
 
We all went down to the park today so that Connor could feed the ducks! He had a great time and we went through lots of bread!
